Northern Ireland Terminals
As a heating oil user, you most likely only come in contact with the delivery drivers who top up your tank, but there is a journey that your heating oil takes before reaching your home.
With over 68% of Northern Ireland using kerosene28 as their primary fuel for heating, we want to share with you where the heating oil terminals are in Northern Ireland.
Cloghan Point
This terminal is not a road truck site and has the longest jetty in Ireland. All oil on this site is owned by NORA ( ROI emergency supply)Belfast- Puma Energy
Puma Energy is located on the same road as Valero and Inter terminals. This terminal has some history, the BP refinery opened back in 1964 but was converted into a terminal in 1982. Many heating oil suppliers will purchase their oil from Puma Energy.
Belfast- Valero
Valero’s terminal is the smallest terminal in Belfast, they currently have six terminals in the U.K and Ireland. Texaco branded stations are supplied from here.
Belfast- Inter Terminal
Inter Terminal is the largest terminal in Belfast. Larger terminals are often used as 3rd party storage by wholesalers to sell on their oil when it is needed.
L/Derry - LSS Terminal
This is the most modern terminal in Europe and stores four types of fuel gas oil, kerosene, ultra-low sulphur diesel and unleaded petroleum. This terminal supplies product to the north and south Ireland.
